New GFE and HUD-1 Forms Go Into Effect January 1, 2010
Today’s legal focus will help familiarize real estate brokers and agents with the new RESPA rules produced by HUD. HUD has issued reforms that will hopefully help consumers shop for the lowest cost mortgage by requiring that lenders and mortgage brokers provide consumers with a standard Good Faith Estimate that clearly discloses key loan terms and closing costs:
