RACI Scholarships. Mark Your Calendars for the 2010 Golf Outing. (Back)

The RACI Scholarship Committee will host a golf outing on September 15th to raise money for scholarship funds. Other fund raisers will be announced as they are confirmed.
The current funds include the Pat Pencek Scholarship which is set up through Indiana University, Kokomo. Recipients can be a resident of any of our six counties and be a junior or senior majoring in business, have a record of academic excellence as demonstrated by a GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. For those who don't know, Pat Pencek was the first female president of the Indiana Association of REALTORS(r) and is the mother of our EVP, Kathy Harbaugh. This scholarship fund is endowed.
The second fund is through the Community Foundation. Recipients can be a resident of any of our six counties. Scholarships are offered to incoming college freshmen attending any Indiana college or university. The must have a 3.0 grade point average or higher and have business as their major, rank in the top 25% of their graduating class, have good citizenship and character, be active in extra curricular activites and be able to demonstrate the need for financial assistance. This fund recently became endowed.
The newest fund is through Ivy Tech. We have three years to raise $10,000 to endow the fund. Applicants must be attending a Kokomo region campus or the Marion campus or instruction site and be a resident of one of our six counties. Applicants may be part time or full time students. Part time students must maintain a minimum of 6 credit hours. Current students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. They must complete the FAFSA for the applicable year. This is not a need based scholarship. The award must be applied to tuition, fees and books. The award is up to $500 and students have to reapply to continue the scholarship.
